About

What We Believe and Practice

Traditional Worship:

In corporate worship, we believe that God is the audience and that He deserves our highest praise and adoration. In our worship services, we primarily practice the singing of hymns and other gospel songs that are God-exalting and theologically sound.

Biblical Preaching and Teaching:

Biblical preaching is the God-given method by which sinners are saved and then, brought to spiritual maturity as believers. The apostle Paul issued this charge to Timothy: “Preach the word! Be ready in season
and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.” (2 Tim. 4:2) In his letter to Titus, Paul wrote: “But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine.” (Titus 2:1) To Timothy he said: “If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of good doctrine which you have carefully followed.” (1 Tim. 4:6) We are committed to practice this in all our Bible studies.

Biblical Evangelism and Discipleship:

The Great Commission is our God-given mandate which has a threefold goal: Make disciples, baptize them, and teach them. The end result of evangelism is discipleship. Jesus did not command us to just make converts but disciples. We are committed to making disciples who, in
turn, will also help make more disciples. “The things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” (2Tim. 2:2)

Biblical Missions:

We are committed to local, national, and worldwide missions.
Jesus said: “You shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8) He also said: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)

Biblical Leadership:

We follow the New Testament example of church leadership
by having both elders and deacons. Acts 14:23, “So when they had appointed elders in every church, and prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed.”

Statement of Faith:

The basis of faith and practice of Trinity Baptist Church is
the inspired Word of God, the Holy Bible. We are members of both the Georgia Baptist Convention and Southern Baptist Convention. Therefore, we subscribe to the doctrinal statement of The Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the SBC in 1963 and revised in 2000.

The Lordship of Christ:

We believe that every believer must submit to Jesus Christ as Lord and live completely under His authority. “For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the
living.” (Romans 14:9)

The Glory of God:

We believe the chief end of man is to glorify God. The church exists to bring honor and glory to Him. “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or
whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Cor. 10:31)
